Hi Family,
It’s time again to catch up on all the news, information and activities that's in store for you at Kingsway Christian Church.
Please have a read through this month’s newsletter and contact us if you have any questions.

Changes regarding the current Kids Corner and a new 
Breastfeeding 'Mothers-Only' room!

As you all know, currently we have a Kids Corner set-up for parents with infants, babies, and toddlers up until the age of 3 - that they can make use of during the service
when needed.
This space allows parents to listen to the sermon while taking care of their kids who
aren't quite old enough for Kids Church yet.

We have been blessed in the Kingsway community with many new additions,
new families, or families who have welcomed new babies.  
As this demographic grows, we need to make sure we have the correct space
and set-up to ensure the rooms we make use of can accommodate this.

It is because of this that we have some EXCITING NEWS
From Sunday, 3 August the following changes will be implemented ..

* The current Kids Corner will be moved to the Dance room.
The dance room is double the size of the current Kids Corner room with easy/close
access to toilets and a change table.
This is the room the Middle Kids 1 class is currently using for Kids Church.
It is directly next to the Young Kids (Kindy - Pre-Primary) classes where children
who have just turned 3 go to when first joining Kids Church.

* The Middle Kids 1 class (Year 1 & 2) who is in the Dance Room will move to
the classroom S22 - Parents need to sign the kids in before class in the foyer.
.
They will need to be dropped off in the foyer by their parents after worship and
then parents must collect them at the classroom after the service.

* The current Kids Corner will then be turned in a 'Mothers Only' room for breastfeeding
mums with infants.  There will also be some toys and a small area for toddlers if there
are any mums who have to watch both a toddler and infant while breastfeeding.  

PLEASE NOTE Fathers will not be allowed in this room because it's specifically set aside
for Mothers who want privacy when breastfeeding.  

The Newly located Kids Corner (in the Dance Room) will be the best space for both mums and dads who are watching their children together.

It's time again for the much-loved family lunch event of the year ..

The POTJIEKOS Family Lunch!

This is a great day filled with fun, delicious food and friendly competition.

Details
Date:  Sunday, 31 August
Time:  11:00am - 2:00pm (this is lunch - potjies will be brewing from 7:00am)
Where:  Kingsway Christian Church - Oval in front of the auditorium

What to bring
If you're just joining for lunch please bring:
Shade/Gazebo, Camping chairs/picnic blanket, Eski with snacks/water/drinks

If you're making a potjie please bring:
Your own gas (no coals available this year)
Shade/Gazebo
All supplies you need for cooking / to make your potjie

Potjie / Theme competition:
We will be holding two different types of competition - Best Potjie and Best Theme/Team

Please see the sign-up link if you'd like to bring a potjie or enter any of the competitions.
You can make a potjie just for fun and share with others
(competition is optional, but still need to sign-up)

If you would like to bring along bread rolls or rice as a side you can also use the sign-up
link and fill-in all sections that apply.

Come experience how the Holy Spirit guides us ..
This will be a three week bible course led by Ps Jean

Everyone is invited to join us for a night of worship, prayer and praise as we
press into the Spirit and have an encounter with God.

Attention all Youth (from year 10) and Young Adults (up to age 30)

Want to join us for Sportsfest 2025.. ?

Meet us in the foyer after church on Sunday, 3 August and we'll help you get signed up!
You don't need to pay on the day (fees are only due later)

Want to VOLUNTEER:  If you want to volunteer at Sportsfest this year, you can
also come and meet us in the foyer.

WHAT IS SPORTSFEST.. ?
An event where Youth and Young Adults (Yr 10 - age 30) from across
Western Australia come together for a weekend of sport, ministry and fellowship!
It is held over the long weekend of 26-29 September in Leschenault, Eaton area.

6 September - Women's Movie Social
All the ladies are invited to join us for an afternoon at the Backlot Perth.
We'll be watching a movie together, and spending time in great company.
